Forming part of a wider refurbishment and lower ground floor extension of a five-storey Grade II Listed townhouse on Brompton Square, this project included the design of a bespoke home cinema and entertaining space for the world-renowned film director Roland Emmerich.
Working carefully within the constraints of the Brompton Conservation Area, the proposals balanced the demands of a high-specification contemporary brief with a considered approach to heritage - reinstating original plan forms, period joinery and chimney pieces elsewhere in the house while creating a fully immersive cinematic experience. The interiors were designed by John Teall, whose striking planetary theme gave the space a distinctive character entirely in keeping with its extraordinary client.
