Facade retention with full internal reconfiguration and basement excavation to a Chelsea mews house. The project is organised around a discipline of restraint - stripping back accumulated layers to produce a sequence of calm, precisely resolved spaces.
A floating staircase in warm timber acts as the primary vertical element, anchoring the plan and mediating between levels. The material palette - natural stone, white plaster, and oak - is held consistently throughout, with flush joinery and carefully considered daylighting reinforcing the coherence of the whole.
